Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By creating a LUMUKI account, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
LUMUKI is operated by Mario Roberto Garay Fernandez, an individual based at Calle Cibao Este 24, Distrito Nacional 11108, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
2. What LUMUKI is
An application for recording your dog's walks using your phone's GPS, tracking their activity and weight, and sharing care with people you trust.
3. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to accept these terms. This applies equally to owners and to invited caregivers: when you join with an invitation code, you confirm that you are of legal age.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that occurs in your account. You must provide accurate information, including a valid email address that belongs to you.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings.
5. Subscription and payments
Free trial: we offer a 14-day trial. Nothing is charged during that period.
Subscription: when the trial ends, the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Charges: processed through your Apple ID account, not directly by us.
Cancellation: managed from your Apple ID settings. Deleting your LUMUKI account does not cancel your subscription — these are separate processes and you must cancel it separately.
Refunds: handled by Apple according to their policies, including any right of withdrawal you may have under the law of your country. We cannot issue refunds directly.
Price changes: we will notify you in advance. If you do not agree, you may cancel.
If your subscription expires: you keep access to your history and your dogs' data, but you will not be able to record new walks. We do not delete anything.
6. Caregivers
By inviting someone, you authorize them to access the data of the dog you assign to them and to record walks. You are responsible for who you invite, and you confirm that the person invited is 18 or older.
Invited caregivers use LUMUKI at no cost, under your subscription.
You can revoke access at any time. When you request account deletion, all your caregivers' access is revoked immediately and is not automatically restored if you cancel the deletion — you would need to invite them again.
7. Health information — important
LUMUKI is not a veterinary service and does not replace consultation with a professional.
The activity goals we calculate are guidelines. They are based on FCI breed classification and general veterinary consensus, but they do not constitute a diagnosis or a medical recommendation for your particular dog.
Every animal is different. Before changing your dog's exercise routine — especially if they are a puppy, senior, brachycephalic, or have any health condition — consult a licensed veterinarian.
You can manually adjust the goals following your veterinarian's guidance.
We are not responsible for health decisions made solely on the basis of information in the app.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use the app for illegal purposes
- Attempt to access other users' data
- Interfere with the operation of the service
- Share invitation codes with people you do not trust
- Upload content that does not belong to you or that is offensive
We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
9. Your content
The photos, notes and data you upload remain yours. You grant us permission to store and display them within the service and to the people you authorize, solely to operate the app.
If you share content on social media using the app's feature, that post is governed by the terms of the relevant social network.
10. Service availability
We strive to keep LUMUKI running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features.
The app works offline for recording walks; syncing requires an internet connection.
GPS depends on your device and external conditions. We do not guarantee absolute accuracy of distances or routes.
11. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the app.
Our total liability, in any case, will not exceed the amount you have paid in the previous 12 months.
This does not limit liabilities that cannot be legally excluded.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update them. If changes are significant, we will notify you within the app or by email. Continuing to use the service afterwards implies acceptance.
13. Termination
You can stop using LUMUKI whenever you want by deleting your account. We may suspend access if you violate these terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic.
If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded to you by the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
